About the project:
Located in Waterloo, this project transformed a closed-off kitchen and dining area into a bright, open-concept living space. The renovation focused on structural redesign, cohesive finishes, and a seamless flow throughout the main floor.
A load-bearing wall was removed and replaced with an engineered flush-mount steel beam to open up the space and create a natural connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems were rerouted to accommodate the new layout, and the design was customized to meet the homeowner’s needs.
Engineered hardwood flooring was installed throughout the main floor and finished with new baseboards for a clean, contemporary look. In the living area, a new gas fireplace was added, surrounded by custom cabinetry designed to complement the kitchen’s style and finishes.
The custom kitchen features premium cabinetry paired with Quartz Dali Su countertops — a luxurious surface chosen for its resemblance to Calacatta marble, offering timeless elegance with modern durability.
The result is a cohesive, sophisticated space that blends craftsmanship, comfort, and functionality throughout the home.
